I received the micah dalton album - pawn shop - from noisetrade.com and it was pretty cool. 3 songs stood out for me, "the autobiography of milton burroughs' was a very cool blugrass, blues, steele guitar type jam. reminded me of glen kaiser with his acoustic blues jams. also you hear some eric clapton. the song never really kicks in though, it has the potential to really jam but just does not quite get there. "your name is..." is an ethereal worship type tune which is very cool to listen to as you watch the sun rise. the last one is "Rev Ramshack Run" which reminded me of an old Guardian album when they did an acoustic cd.
You must visit noisetrade.com where i got the album. It has totally cool tunes, you pay what you want or just pay by forwarding the info to 3 email addresses. great stuff.
cool hand luke - the balancing act - i picked up the album in the discount rack because of the title track. It is awesome. Listen to the words! they will slap you in the face. cool coffee tunes, reflective tunes, piano based rock type stuff, for the most part."i have worked to hard for righteousness to put my faith in something you call grace" is a killer line!
ill harmonics - modern heart exhibit - this is another one i picked up as a discount. not much rap, chilled vocals over acoustic guitars and a hip hop beat. my fav track is a remake of "the heard of worship" track. the album has a hint of....dang i forgot...the band that was on Shrek...they had a jam about a halo on a bed post...something fly...exactly - sugar ray was the band. anyway that is just a few music words.
out here... r of jnr
